TeachersWe recruit lively and experienced teachers with advanced degrees in education and/or the sciences. Many of our teachers hold teaching licenses, all have experience teaching in schools, museums or camps. Camp Activity Schedules By the first day of each session, campers will receive a schedule detailing any field trips, show and tell, messy days, or other activities that you will want to know about for advance planning. Authorization to Transport Hands-on learning means fun field trips built into our camps! Campers who go on field trips will be transported by Science Factory staff in the Science Factory’s van or by parent volunteers in their personal vehicles. Please be sure to sign the Authorization to Transport on your child’s registration form so that they will be able to participate in these opportunities. Advance notice of all field trips will be given on the first day of each camp session. Media Release The Science Factory receives frequent media coverage throughout the community and in other publications statewide and nationally. In addition, pictures help document our work, so Science Factory staff frequently photograph campers for our website and program brochures. By signing your child up for the Science Factory’s Summer Camps you authorize the Science Factory to photograph and/or videotape your child for publicity purposes (including visits from news media and photos on our website.) The Science Factory will not release any personal information regarding your child other than their first name, last name, and age. All photographs and video recordings will become the property of the Science Factory, not to be sold or loaned, and will be used only to promote the Science Factory and its education programs. If you do not want your child to be photographed, please attach a note with your registration form and we will ensure that your child will not take part in any media events. |
