DUTIES:
- Assist Education Director in development, preparation and facilitation of Magic School Bus after-school programs (Wednesday 2:30-4:30)
- Assist Education Director in development, preparation and facilitation of field trip programs
- Work as interpretive guide in Exhibit Hall for school groups and families
- Occasionally assist education staff with other tasks, such as preparing for Saturday special events or organizing storage areas.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong interest in teaching children age 2-12
- Strong interest in many areas of science
- Creativity, with the ability to generate ideas for science education activities
- Good organizational skills
- Good sense of humor
Hours: 12-20 hours per week and requires at least a one term commitment.
Supervisor: Education Director
Compensation: Volunteer Internship, College Credit to be arranged by Intern
