SPECIAL HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA TONIGHT!
Pumpkin catapulting, scary storytelling, a special planetarium show, and more! It all happens tonight at the Science Factory for our 3rd Annual Halloween Extravaganza! Wear your best costume because we have a new late arrival to our celebrity judging panel: U-O tri-athlete Jordan Kent! He'll be joining Kelly Warner of KMTR-TV and Buddy Hazelton of Rite-Aid for the distribution of special prizes and certificates to our best costumes of the evening.

A group of PSC engineers has been studiously working to create a wonderful new Mad Scientist's Lab, with special new concoctions, as well as a Haunted Hall of Horrors (not too scary, but enough to give you a little jolt!).

Hope to see you tonight, Friday, October 28 from 5 - 8 PM for all of the family fun. Science Factory members : $10 admission for a family of four/ non-members, $12. Individual admissions are $4.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR NEXT FRIDAY TOO!

First Friday Science Discovery Day, Friday, November 2, 10 AM – 12 NOON.

Keeping the creepy feeling of Halloween alive, we’ll have a wonderful day of slithering, slimy creatures here at the museum to tantalize the wee ones. It’s “Reptile and Amphibian Morning” with members of the Oregon Herpetological Society on hand to assist in explaining the whys and hows of snakes, frogs and such. Plenty of hands-on touching and activities to keep your pre-schooler in the know.

FREE to Science Factory members, $10 for each adult/toddler combination. $2 for each additional child. For those who are using this wonderful program regularly, we encourage joining the Science Factory as a member. Your $50 membership will provide you these great learning opportunities for your children all year long free of charge!

NOVEMBER CLASSES BEGINNING NEXT WEEK, SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE
Now that soccer season is winding down, this may be just the right time for your child to have an infusion of some after-school science fun! Our three week Magic School Bus series meets on Wednesdays or Thursdays for your K-2 learners. Topics include:
